Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Hunters Creek Swim & Racquet Club member application and related systems (the "Platform"). By using the Platform you agree to these Terms.
Who may use the Platform
Member features are for Club members and their household. Some features, such as clubhouse reservation requests, are also available to non-members. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your contact details current.
Accounts and login
You claim your member account using the email address the Club has on file for your household, confirmed by a one-time code sent to that address. After that you sign in without a password, using a code sent to your email, and your device stays signed in until you sign out. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email, phone, and device secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. Club administrators and guards use separate accounts with additional security.
Pool status and safety
The Platform may show pool status, including lightning and weather closures, as a convenience. This information is not a substitute for the instructions of on-site lifeguards and Club staff. Lifeguard and staff decisions always govern. Do not rely on the Platform alone to decide whether it is safe to be at or in the pool. Lightning detection uses outside data that can be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable, and notifications may be delayed or fail to deliver. The Club is not responsible for any decision made in reliance on Platform status, and you agree to follow posted rules and staff direction at all times.
Clubhouse reservations
The Platform lets members and non-members request use of the clubhouse. A request is not a confirmed booking. A request is confirmed only after a Club board member reviews and approves it. Rates differ for members and non-members. The full fee for your reservation is set and communicated to you by the board member handling your request at the time of confirmation. Payment is handled outside the Platform, for example by Zelle, according to the instructions you receive at confirmation. Cancellations, refunds, deposits, and rules of use are handled by the Club. The Platform is a request and management tool only and does not process payments.
Notifications
By opting in, you agree to receive operational and informational messages from the Club by push notification and email. Message frequency varies. You can change or stop these in the preference center or your device settings. If you receive text messages, your carrier's rates may apply.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by trying to access accounts or data that are not yours, scraping or copying data, impersonating others, submitting unlawful or harmful content through feedback or requests, or interfering with the Platform's operation.
Content and intellectual property
Club names, logos, newsletters, and Platform content are the property of the Club or its licensors. You may use them only as part of normal use of the Platform.
Third-party services
The Platform works with outside services, including calendar services, email delivery, and sponsor links. We are not responsible for those services or for third-party sites you reach through sponsor links.
Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available, and we do not warrant the accuracy or timeliness of status, weather, or notifications.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Club and its board members, volunteers, and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform, including reliance on pool status or notifications. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with an updated effective date and, for significant changes, notify members through the Platform. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
